The main criteria for the selction of the schools for the DNA Club were based on the following points.

• Geographical area: the schools of both the state are selected from the different geographical location.
• Equal preference was given to all the schools affiliated to the different boards, like Govt., central, public, private.
• The schools selected are co education so that equal opportunities were given to both boys and girls students.

By considering the above criteria the following schools were selected from the list of schools visited by the Regional Resources Agency (RRA, IBSD, Imphal) from the two states (Manipur and Sikkim).
